What is a Million Dollar Golf Shoot-out?
In a Million Dollar Shoot-out, an individual - or a small group of golfers – is given the chance to win $1,000,000, if they can make a hole in one from the designated distance.
Just as with hole in one insurance, the shoot-out’s sponsor or the golf tournament organizer purchases shoot-out coverage (insurance) by paying a small fee to the International Hole In One Association based on the distance (length) of the shot, and the number of golfers who are participating in the contest.
When a participant makes a hole in one, the golf shoot-out policy kicks in, and the International Hole In One Association steps in to pay for the million dollar prize. Prices for million dollar shoot-out insurance packages start at $190 and include free signage.

Add a Shoot-Out To Your Golf Tournament

You’ll begin by making arrangements with the golf course to use a hole near the clubhouse and create a temporary teeing area 135+ yards away or longer based on your budget. Next, qualify up to five golfers through a special raffle, a related golf contest (i.e. longest drive, closest to the pin) or any other selection process you’d like.
At the appointed time, gather your tournament participants together and get ready for big thrills! If one of your participants aces the hole, they’ll win the million dollar prize and the International Hole In One Association will be there to pick up the tab!

Run a Million Dollar Shoot-Out to Raise Money
Want to raise $20,000, $30,000, $50,000 or more for your charity, school, sports team or cause? A million dollar hole in one shoot-out is an effective fundraiser that anyone can organize.
Working in conjunction with a popular driving range, set up a 125-yard target hole and place a three to five foot circle around it in chalk.
Over the course of three to five days, hold a qualifier and charge golfers $1-$2 per attempt to shoot at your target hole and “win” a spot in your million dollar golf contest for landing a ball inside the circle.
At the end of the qualification period, you’ll bring back all your qualifiers—we recommend having between 10 to 30 golfers—and give them all a chance to take a swing from 135 yards or more.
